"When I was originally searching for study abroad scholarships this past fall and saw the Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) Study Abroad Grant, I immediately added it to my list of things to apply to in bold. The PKP Grant is a really unique merit-based scholarship opportunity that awards student ambition," said Brown. "I am incredibly excited to go to Alicante, Spain to study Spanish language and culture this summer and am grateful for the additional opportunity to conduct a PhotoVoice about LGBTQIA+ experiences in Spain during the Madrid pride parade. Study abroad has always been a dream of mine and was a factor for why I was so eager to join the School of World Studies at VCU. Now, I am in Spain living out this opportunity thanks to PKP and my other generous donors."
